Jane has a PhD in Agricultural Engineering from Cranfield University, a Masters in Pest Management and Applied Entomology from Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine. Jane’s consultancy focuses on research, innovation and regulation within vector control and crop protection. Her previous experience includes preparation of guidelines and literature reviews for a number of international agencies including the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and the World Health Organization (WHO). She is a technical advisor to the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and a member of the International Standards Organization, Equipment for Crop Protection (ISO/TC 23/SC 6). Her work focuses on the fundamentals of application technology involving detailed laboratory and wind tunnel studies through to large scale multi-lateral field studies. Her current focus is on research related to characterization and optimization of Manned and Unmanned Aerial Spray Systems. She has, however, conducted research with devices ranging from handheld sprayers for applications to mating swarms of mosquitoes to calibration and applications with a Lockheed C-130 Hercules.
