BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Under the direction of the Director of Operations and Field Supervisor, the Vector Control Technician II

performs work of varying difficulty in preventing and controlling mosquitoes and other vectors; provides

supervision; and performs related work as required.

RELATIONSHIP:

The Vector Control Technician II reports to the Director of Operations, Field Supervisor, and serves at the will

and pleasure of the District Manager.

CLASS CHARACTERISTICS:

The Vector Control Technician II exercises considerable judgment in organizing and carrying out the details

involved in his/her assignments.

This position may be given varying degrees of responsibility for providing advice and assistance to the property

owners regarding the abatement of vectors.
