The American Mosquito Control Association is seeking proposals to host the 2030 Annual Meeting. We invite interested cities, hotels, convention centers, and destination partners in the Central Time Zone to submit proposals.
BEFORE RESPONDING, PLEASE READ KEY REQUIREMENTS BELOW.
- Dates: February or March 2030 (preferred: first week of March). Meeting follows a rigid Monday–Friday pattern, with limited pre-meeting space and room nights needed the Friday and Saturday prior. All major religious and federal holidays must be avoided (Ash Wednesday and St. Patrick’s Day are acceptable).
- Location: Central Time Zone and reasonably close to the city’s major airport to support nationwide and international attendance.
- Room Block: Approximately 2,595 total room nights (net, non-commissionable). Target rates of $279 and under. Must include at least 25 government-rate rooms. See the full RFP for the nightly pickup pattern.
- Meeting & Exhibit Space:
- Approximately 90 10' × 10' booths (roughly 30,000 sq ft total to also accommodate coffee breaks, ~50 double-sided posters, and receptions).
- Prefer meeting space and exhibit hall on one level.
- 5 breakout rooms (min. 200 theater / ~2,500 sq ft each with standard AV).
- Plenary room (Tuesday only): 8,000–15,000 sq ft.
- Welcome Breakfast (Tuesday or Wednesday): rounds for 500.
- Banquet (Thursday evening): ~18,000 sq ft, rounds for 650–750.
- Food & Beverage: Complimentary meeting/exhibit space with a $120,000 F&B minimum (or guest-room rebate structure if convention center space is required).
- Concessions: Standard group concessions are detailed in the full RFP (comp rooms, suites, upgrades, internet, AV flexibility, no resort fees, etc.).
